Chinese traditional medicine teaches the history of the five elements, where each one of them refers to a season, a taste, a color, an organ, a corporal system and other properties that influence human life.
The intuitive knowledge of the organism makes the difference between the foods, not just between the vitamins but as well between their mineral content, taste and color and even season.
Below one will notice the way each element interacts with the season, the color, the organs, the taste and the primary emotion – all affect human health and well-being.
Wood = spring, green, the liver, sour, rage.
Fire = early summer, red- the heart, bitter, happiness.
Earth = the end of summer, yellow, spleen, thought, sweet.
Metal = autumn, white, lungs, spicy, sadness.
Water = winter, black, kidneys, salty, fear.
Each color has many and different properties whose effects are a part of the general constellation. Because the elements, the organs and the seasons are strictly bound, some of the foods from their designated seasons increase their effects on the diseases to prevent the sickness in the organs and in their connected systems.
