Keep the wine as desert
It is no secret whatsoever that if you want to lose the extra pounds you have to give up over indulgence in alcohol. This applies especially to the sweet wine and cocktails. If you drink wine during you eat, you will be more relaxed and you will not care what and how much you eat. This is why you should leave the wine for desert.
Enjoy each bite you take
It is known that eating slowly is very beneficial for your body from various points of view. The slower you eat the better digestion you will have and you will feel satiated faster. On the contrary, if you eat fast, the brain does not have the necessary time to process the information. Hunger is not just a physical thing it is actually a quite psychological thing. Eat sitting at the table and grant yourself time to eat. Do not read or watch TV while eating. Think of the taste and savor of each thing from your plate.
Use small plates
This is a very good idea to keep you eating less at each meal. You will get the idea that the portions are bigger if you put them in smaller plates. Therefore you will feel like you’ve eaten enough and you will not be tempted to have another plate.
Eat a carrot while you cook
Do not starve yourself while cooking. If you do, the moment the food is ready, you will listen to your stomach and you will grab the first slice of meat you get. This is why it is indicated to chew something while cooking. Some pieces of carrot are good as the carrot is a healthy and has few calories. Moreover, taking some bites while cooking, will make you eat less.
Do shopping with full stomach
This is a trick that is about psychological issues as well. If you are hungry when you go shopping you tend to buy more, and make less healthy choices. However if you are full you will tend to buy fruits and fresh vegetables, which is the ideal.
Do not skip the meals
If you feel like you are fat and do not want to eat in the evening starting 4PM, this may prove to be one of the worst choices you make. If you skip one meal, you will feel hungry and the next day you will feel entitled to eat more, to cover the previous day. Eat something light in the evening, but do not skip meals.
Wash your teeth after each meal
This is a good thing not just for your teeth, but for your looks as well. Making it a habit after each meal, one sends the info to the brain that the meal is over and unconscious you will no longer be tempted to visit the kitchen.
Do not eat in front of TV
While staying and watching TV you tend to eat popcorn, cookies or other forbidden sweets. Even if it seems harmless, in time it can develop with eating in front of TV. This phenomenon can get worst and you feel you are hungry the instant you open the TV.
